Haben die in Lettland wirklich solche Sprichwörter? --Thomas 08:08, 18. Jan 2006 (UTC)
--Thomas 23:06, 30. Jan 2006 (UTC)
Sorry for writing in english, but my German is very bad. I usualy laugh at what is passed of as Latvian proverbs and leave, but I acctualy like Wiki-sites to contain correct information. The proverbs in the article most likely are not Latvian proverbs, I even translated them to Latvian and tried to find them in proverb database but couldn't - Latvian proverbs are not philosofical, they are short and precise - time can't make beer, people do - so that they can be applied in variety of situations and we got proverbs about Latvians being favorite food of/wolves to other Latvians --81.198.247.88 14:55, 7. - Thank you for your comments - why don't you remove all proverbs that you do not consider authentic and add some wide-spread proverbs that really do exist? You can put in the latvian orgiginal with you own english translation, some wikignomes will surely translate them to German ;-)
- If possible, also name a good reference for each prover, like a book about proverbs. --Hei ber 08:31, 8. Dez. 2007 (CET)
