About me
Hi there! My name is Denis Barthel, hailing from Berlin, Germany. I am a Wikimedia project volunteer since 2003 and have been active in the movement in various roles since 2007.
Hallo! Mein Name ist Denis Barthel und ich lebe und arbeite in Berlin. Ich bin seit 2003 in der Wikipedia und ihren Schwesterprojekten aktiv und habe bereits zwischen 2007 und 2015 auch in verschiedenen Rollen bei Chaptern mitgewirkt.
My work
As a Movement Strategy & Governance Facilitator, my role is on being a bridge between the Wikimedia Foundation on one hand and communities and affiliates in some European countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, Netherlands and Italy) on the other as far as it relates to Movement Strategy matters.
Als Faciltator im Movement Strategy & Governance Team habe ich die Aufgabe, dafür zu sorgen, dass der Austausch zwischen der Wikimedia Foundation zum einen und den Communitys und Partnerorganisationen in Teilen Europas, insbesondere dem deutschsprachigen Raum, zum Thema Movement Strategy und Governance funktioniert. Unabhängig davon bin ich auch jederzeit ansprechbar, wenn du nicht weisst, an wen du dich bei der Wikimedia Foundation wenden kannst.
